桶狭間の戦いの地で思うこと

桶狭間の戦い。織田信長が今川義元を倒した歴史的な合戦である。その合戦上が中京競馬場前駅の近くにある。今日は中京競馬場前駅の近くにある某社に訪問した帰りに少しだけ時間があまったので、この合戦上を覗いてみることにした。

桶狭間の戦いは今からおよそ500年前、1560年の出来事である。当時隆盛を極めた今川氏。その2万5千人の大軍を3千人の織田軍が破り、今川義元の首を取った有名な戦いである。

自らの軍勢の約10倍の敵に対して奇襲をかけて蹴散らし勝利を得る。その戦いを率いていた織田信長は当時28才だそうだ。

28才の若者が42才の脂の乗り切った大軍を率いる強敵を倒す。痛快な出来事である。その後、織田信長は勢いに乗り天下を統一していく道に一気に突き進んでゆく。

今から500年前。28才の若者がそのような戦いに臨む前夜何を思ったのだろう？28と言えば私よりも年が下である。その若者の胸のうちに何が去来したのだろう？戦いの最中、何を思ったのだろう？そして、勝利を得たときに何を感じたのだろう？

そんなことを考えながら歩いていると、なぜか体にエネルギーがみなぎってきた。私自身まだまだ挑戦することはある。織田信長のように”機を見るに敏”でありたい。そして、機会を見つけたら勇気を持って果敢に挑戦したい。そんな思いが浮かんできて桶狭間の古戦場でエネルギーが増幅された。
